DESCRIPTION:Alles steht still. Nichts bewegt sich. Menschen stehen sich gegenüber. Nebeneinander. Miteinander. Sie versuchen aufeinander zuzugehen, aber jeder Schritt scheint schier unmöglich. Wie sind wir hier gelandet?\nZusammen mit vier Tänzer*innen und einer Schlagwerkerin setzt sich die Kölner Physical Theatre-Kompanie KimchiBrot Connection choreografisch und textlich mit den verschiedenen Facetten des Streitens auseinander. Mithilfe von Tiefeninterviews mit Expert*innen und Menschen aus Gießen gehen sie der Frage nach, wie unsere Streitkultur auf persönlicher und gesellschaftlicher Ebene in den letzten Jahrzehnten geprägt wurde. Was sind Momente produktiven Streitens und wo verläuft die Grenze dessen, über das nicht gestritten werden sollte? Während wir ihre Stimmen hören, wie sie in intimer Reflexion darüber sprechen, wann und wie ihnen die Hutschnur platzt, erleben wir auf der Bühne eine Gruppe in ihrem Versuch, ihre offensichtlichen Risse zu überwinden. Mit Kraft, Spannung und viel Fingerspitzengefühl gehen sie hinab in die Untiefen des Streits und die Angst vor der Möglichkeit absoluter Unversöhnlichkeit.\nEverything is still. No movement. How did we end up here?\nTogether with four dancers and a percussionist, Cologne-based physical theatre company KimchiBrot Connection explores the various facets of conflict through choreography and text. With the help of interviews with experts and people from Giessen, they examine the question of how our debate culture has been shaped on a personal and social level in recent decades. What are moments of productive argument and where lie the boundaries of what should not be argued about? While we listen to their voices as they talk in intimate reflection about when and how they lose their cool, we experience a group on stage in their attempt to overcome their apparent rifts.
